Sheldon Jeremy Williams-Poole

Obituary Sheldon J. Williams was born om January 15th, 1984 to Leon Williams Jr. and Kai Hamption-Poole in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sheldon enjoyed music, especially karaoke, but his real passion was baseball, and he absolutely loved the Minnesota Twins. At the age of four, he held his first bat and from that moment on, he played every season throughout high school. In fact, had he not chosen a military career there is no doubt that he would have been a professional baseball player. From the age of twelve through sixteen, Sheldon attended West Los Angeles Veterans Navy Sea Cadette Program, as the Lead Color Guard. Based on his outstanding leadership skills and knowledge he graduated with honors as a Junior Cadette and E-3 Rank. In 2002 He moved to Ceiba, Puerto Rico with his family where he graduated from Fajardo Vocational High School, achieving a Certification as an Engineer Apprentice. While attending high school he was employed by the U.S. Military Special Operations at Roosevelt Roads Naval Base, Ceiba, Puerto, refueling Military Aircrafts, Blackhawk Helicopters, and F-18 Jet Fighters. At this young age, he was well regarded and respected in a role that came with incredible responsibility, high level security clearance and accuracy for a soldier’s mission. Sheldon continued his military career, joining the U.S. Army 864th Engineer Battalion Afghanistan Corp of Engineers in 2002, he was deployed to combat in the Afghanistan War. As part of a Special Task Force Pacemaker Unit. PFC Sheldon J. Williams was accommodated and recognized for his service by the military. He returned to his birthplace of Minneapolis, Minnesota to live a simple, clean and respectful life. Sheldon traveled the world from Minnesota, California, Puerto Rico, Seattle, South Carolina, and Middle East. Wherever he went, he left an everlasting impression with his smile, laughter, sense of humor, and kindness. He was a humble, honest, spiritual, courteous and polite man. He leaves to mourn: Mother- Kai Hamption-Poole, Step-Father- Roland Poole III, Sisters-Caycee and Niairah Poole, Brothers- Leon Williams III, Jihad Poole, Syed Poole, Omar Poole Cousins; Eric Lathan, Kyle Lathan, Breanna Hamption, Georgiana Smith, Ronald and Lorenzo Moore, Tony and Carla Lewis, Jada Williams, Linda Watermen, Russell Hagen, Derrick Williams, Ramon and Courtney Kincaid Aunts and Uncles; Ernestine Lathan, Olive Williams, Betty Williams, Daisy Williams, Rosie Lewis, Vincent and Stephanie Poole and host of nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his Father Leon Williams Jr., Aunt Brenda Hamption and Sister Kelly Poole.
